Living with chronic or intermittent pain greatly diminishes quality of life. Yet, often attempts to resolve it push the body beyond its capacity leading to further injury. This series offers another approach; a titrated, adaptive methodology intended to empower you! Drawing on four decades of experience working with chronic pain sufferers, Robin will highlight the essential nuggets to support your healing path. Combining an intentional layering of restorative care, flexibility, and strength training together, this targeted program offers a refreshing means for you to rehabilitate yourself.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
This program is appropriate for people living with chronic pain, tension, and discomfort, as well as yoga teachers and/or yoga therapists who are interested in refining their therapeutic skills. All levels are welcome, no previous yoga experience necessary. Modifications will be provided throughout. Participants will be required to submit an intake form and may require a conversation with the instructor to establish the appropriateness of the practice for you.

What You'll Learn:
Over 8 weeks, we'll systematically address the most common areas of chronic pain using a proven stepped-approach for each region:
February 24 – March 3: Low back and sacrum
March 10 – March 17: Hips and pelvis
March 24 – March 31: Shoulder girdle
April 7 – April 14: Neck
For each focus area, we’ll dedicate the first week to restorative care and mobilization - establishing healthy, pain-free range of movement with awareness. The second week, we’ll focus on strength - stabilizing the joints by gently challenging the muscles to return to function. This combination provides lasting relief, functional improvement, and can be employed whenever flares arise to support you long beyond the parameters of the course.

Dumbbells (variety between 2-5 pounds recommended)
