Adaptive Yoga for MS and Parkinsons

Thursdays 1:30 to 2:45 pm

Village Green Yoga Issaquah, WA GET MAP

Robin has been teaching therapeutic yoga for over 15 years and for the past two has focused specifically on yoga for MS and other neurological conditions, teaching at Evergreen and Swedish Hospitals. She has found that the key to a yoga practice for folks with MS and Parkinson’s is to creatively adapt postures to avoid over-exertion. Students have expressed that they find the practices simple enough they can replicate parts of them at home, the breathing and meditation help to reduce stress and promotes better sleep, and over all they feel a boost in their energy, more confidence in their bodies and greater mobility. Robin incorporates a great deal of core strengthening, proprioceptive awareness and balance into her program.
