Girdle to Girdle Stability: Linking the Pelvis and Shoulder Girdles Through Strength and Awareness
This practical workshop offers a deep dive into the relationship between the pelvic and shoulder girdles. In challenging and novel ways, Robin will lead you into the juicy territory that lies within and between them. Practices will highlight efficient means to increase core conditioning by ‘girdling’ the girdles as stabilizing forces for one another. You’ll need a stretch band of medium tension for these practices. A long sturdy scarf or yoga belt could be used as a substitute. Teachers can apply this workshop towards 2.5 hours of YACEP credits.

“This workshop clearly laid out the foundations and connections between the shoulder girdle and the pelvic girdle. The knowledge brought to this workshop along with the sequencing and adaptations make it an amazing resource for strength and stabilizing the entire core. Although I am currently using it for my personal practice, the gems in here could easily be adapted and shared by yoga teachers with their students. This is a resource that can be watched as a whole or a bit at a time. I’m so excited that I have this resource and I plan to go back and revisit it often as I build my personal knowledge around these areas of the body. Thank you Robin.” - Jennifer K., RYT500
