Join us for a virtual open house to discover Essential Yoga Therapy's Foundations of Yoga Therapy—a transformative program that serves both as a 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training AND as Part I of EYT's IAYT-Accredited Yoga Therapist Training.

This 17-month hybrid program uniquely combines online learning with in-person residencies on beautiful Whidbey Island, creating the perfect balance of convenience and community. Whether you're seeking to deepen your teaching skills or beginning your journey toward becoming a certified yoga therapist, this open house offers an invaluable opportunity to explore how Foundations might support your professional evolution.

Foundations begins with you. Before we can skillfully guide others with the tools of yoga, we must first learn to see ourselves clearly and adapt practices to meet our own needs. This program invites you to explore yoga's practices and philosophy through the lens of your own experience, building a foundation of self-awareness and personal practice that becomes the bedrock of therapeutic work.

During this interactive session, you'll meet the dedicated mentors who provide personalized guidance throughout the program—seasoned EYT graduates who monitor student progress and offer emotional support. You'll also connect with a course graduate who will share their firsthand experience of transformation and growth.

Rooted in the Viniyoga tradition, the program weaves together yoga philosophy, fascial anatomy, neuroscience, respiratory science, and Ayurveda through deep study of the Yoga Sutras, pranayama, the chakra system, Vedic chanting, and therapeutic sequencing. This intimate learning environment is limited to just 20 students, ensuring a safe space for meaningful practice and mentorship.

Learn about the program's unique structure, including weekly online sessions that allow time to truly explore and absorb the material, monthly intensives, and two residential retreats featuring instruction from Ayurvedic chef Aria Peterman.
